Robert J. Hynd

Robert J. Hynd, 78, of Houtzdale, PA, died on Monday, October 19, 2026 at his home.

Born on June 26, 1948, in Philipsburg, PA, Robert was the son of the late William Hynd & Nellie (Hubler) Hynd. He married Sandra A. (Huber) Hynd on October 7, 1967 in Morrisdale, PA. Sandra survives at home.

Robert was a life member of the Houtzdale Ramey Fire Co.

He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by three sisters, Linda Socash, Jean Hamilton, and Mary Fleck; and three brothers, William Hynd, Archie Hynd, and Alex Hynd.

In addition to his wife, Sandra, Robert is survived by a daughter, Heather R. Marks & her husband Perry of Kylertown, PA; a son, Jeffery R. Hynd & his wife Louise of Madera, PA; a sister, Kathy Woods & her husband Russell of Oklahoma; a brother, Roy Hynd & his wife Diane of Osceola Mills, PA; four grandchildren, Shane Yarger, Zachery Hynd, Cameron Hynd, and Keyona Rinehart; and three great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Reign, and River.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, at 701 Lingle St. Osceola Mills, PA 16666. Rev. Robert Bruinooge will officiate.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
