I am so sorry for you. What a great great lady. Keeping you in my prayers.
Launa Kowalcyk
Peggy and family, My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this time of loss and grief. Your mother was the most wonderful of role models, leaders, and true examples of excellence in compassion and integrity to ever grace our community.
Our friendship came from many years of active involvement in the local, district and state Business and Professional Women’s Club. Each of my recollections brings warmth to my heart. She cared for each person she met. Every task she completed was done with great attention to detail.
Charlotte was an impeccable about her appearance. Never a hair out of place or a suit with a wrinkle. She set the bar very high for those who were in company. And we loved her for it!
Her physical presence has been missed from our gathering for many years due to her illness; but our fond memories are still very active.
Thank you for sharing her with the Business and Professional Women’s Club. We are all better individuals because of our relationship with Charlotte Kanour.
Best Personal Wishes, Launa Kowalcyk

Condolences to Charlotte’s family. She will always be fondly remembered by her West Side UMC family. It was an honor to have known her in my early years as pastor of West Side.

Peg,
So sorry for your loss but glad your mom is finally at peace. The picture reminds of what she looked like when I would visit you in Clearfield. Love and hugs, Michele

Mrs. Kanour was my 2nd grade teacher at Clearfield’s Third Ward School way back in 1959-60. Many years ago, but I still remember and appreciate her devotion to her students and the valuable lessons I learned from her. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, my condolences to your entire family.

Charlotte was one of my favorite teachers. She was firm, fair and fun. As a college student, I went back to my old room and did some observations for class. She was great. My mother and Charlotte were good friends. I enjoyed hearing them giggle during their conversations. That surprised me because she always seemed so serious and “proper”, but she had a fun side, too. Oh, and I loved her suits…Pendleton Wool, perhaps. Wow, I wonder how many kids she taught to read, write, and do arithmetic. What a blessing she was to Clearfield.

Peggy, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your parents were very influential in
my life. Your mother was a big part of my elementary school days, and your father was an inspiration
to me as a student and a co-worker. Again, my condolences.

Charlotte was a shining light in Clearfield. She was very active in our community and promoted Clearfield Business and Professional Women every way she could. That’s where I meant her and was very glad to know her. She has been missed in this community. Rest in Peace Charlotte.
