Evelyn H. Bowser Cowher
Evelyn H. Bowser Cowher, 95. of Statesville, NC, formerly of Philipsburg, PA and Osceola Mills, PA passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation in Statesville, NC.
She was the daughter of the late John & Nellie (Renwick) Henry, born on August 12, 1917 in (Chester HIll) Philipsburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her second husband, C. Paul Cowher on July, 28, 1997 and her fist husband, Clarence R. Bowser on August, 14, 1991.
Mrs. Cowher was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Philipsburg, PA. She was a retired secretary for the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot and she was a 1936 graduate of the former Philipsburg High School.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by: two sisters, Henrietta McDonald and Mary Richards; and three brothers, Robert, Lawson and John Henry.
Mrs. Cowher is survived by: two sons, Robert J. Bowser & his wife Wanda of York Haven, PA, and William H. Bowser of Lake Wales, FL; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great grandchildren.
The Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, with Rev. Brenda Leigey officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg, PA.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
