Paul M. Cowder
Paul M. Cowder, 74, of Philipsburg, PA died on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at his home.
He was the son of the late Harvey & Edna (Fleck) Cowder, born on July 24, 1939 in Woodland, PA. He was married to Phyllis (Straw) Cowder who preceded him in death on March 13, 2001.
Mr. Cowder was of the Christian Faith. He was a member of the BPOElks #1173 in Philipsburg, PA, the LOOMoose 941 in Grassflat, PA, the Mo Valley AMVETS 159 in Philipsburg, PA; the Philipsburg VFW # 3450, a Life Member of the Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s Association, the Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Association in Sinnemahoning, PA, the Lincoln Slovak Political Club in Hawk Run, PA, the Carpathian Club in Hawk Run, PA, and the Frenchville VFW # 8386. He was a retired Equipment Operator for Penndot.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by: a son, Mickey Cowder; six sisters, Edna, Maxine, Leatrice, Ruth, Bernie & Lila; four brothers, Larry, Richard, Harold & Carl.
Mr. Cowder is survived by a brother, Ashley Cowder & his wife Shirley, of Rio Rancho, NM; two grandchildren, Nicole Sudik & Destiney Cowder; two great-grandchildren, Lucy Kay Sudik & Aiden Ferguson; a daughter-in-law, Christine of Frenchville, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At the request of Mr. Cowder, there will be no viewing or funeral services.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills. PA.
