Barbara A. Bennett

Barbara A. Bennett, 79, of Clearfield, PA, died on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Mt. Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield, PA.

Born on March 8, 1944, in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Calvin A. Troy, Jr. & Evelyn A. (Bloom) Troy.  She married Jerry L. Bennett, Sr. on June 2, 1962, in Curwensville, PA; he preceded her in death on November 15, 2010.

Barbara was of the Christian Faith.

She was a homemaker and had obtained her GED.

In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Jo Bennett; a son John L. Bennett, Sr.; and a grandson, John Bennett, Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce A. Varner & her husband Raymond of Houtzdale, PA and Judy L. Bennett & her companion Ronald Knepp of Grampian, PA; two sons, Jerry L. Bennett, Jr. & his wife, Dusty of Clearfield, PA and Joseph L. Bennett of Clearfield, PA; three sisters, Linda Mabie & her husband Robert of Clearfield, PA, Hazel Woods of Philipsburg, PA and Ruth Beightol of Philipsburg, PA; three brothers, Edward Troy of Clearfield, PA, William Troy, Sr. of Clearfield, PA and Robert Troy of Philipsburg, PA; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA.  Pastor Kevin Howard will officiate; Burial will be at Bloomington Cemetery in Curwensville, PA.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
