Johnie J. Yarger
Johnie J. Yarger, 91, of (Sanborn) RD Houtzdale, died on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at his home.
Born on May 11, 1930 in Woodward Township, PA he was the son of the late John and Effie (Richner) Yarger. He married S. Jean (Bumbarger) Yarger on September 18, 1949 in West Decatur, PA: she survives at home.
He was a member of the Lighthouse Evangelical Church in West Decatur, PA. Johnie was a retired Drag Line Operator for C & K Coal and he owned the former Yarger’s Used Cars.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: one son, Scott Yarger; and two daughters, Dolly A. Yarger and Evelyn Gilbert; two sisters, Vera Litz Williams and Martha Yarger; and four brothers, Wayne, Andrew, Gerald and Norman Yarger.
Along with his wife he is survived by: two daughters, Cynthia McGuire & her husband Edward of Morrisdale, PA and Tara Richtscheit & her husband Nick of Allensville, PA; one sister, Erma Pinto of (Sanborn) RD Houtzdale, PA; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and a special niece Cathy Timbllin & her husband Walt.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA: with the Pastor Jeff Lauer officiating. Burial will be at the Sanborn Cemetery (Sanborn), Rural Houtzdale, PA.
Visitation will be held on Monday November 1, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to funeral time at the funeral home.
