Betty L. Woods
Betty L. Woods, 83 of West Decatur, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at her home.
Born on July 9, 1928 in Osceola Mills, PA. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Mostyn) Quick. She was married to the Burton L. Woods on July 1, 1963 in Tyrone, Pa.
Mrs. Woods was a member of the First Church of the Nazerine in Philipsburg, PA. and a member of the Old Time Gospel Group. She was a domestic worker.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Woods was preceded in death by four brothers Howard Quick, Elmer Quick, Donald Quick, and Richard Quick.
She is survived by three daughters Mary Ann Lannen and her husband James Sr. of Morrisdale, PA, Barbara Woods of Milwaukee, WI, and Deborah Woods of West Palm Beach, FL; two sons Gerald Quick of Brisbin, PA and Calvin Woods of Dubois, PA; two sisters Shirley Knepp and her husband David of Clearfield, PA, Eleanor Doran and her husband William of North Carolina; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 17 at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA with Pastor John Versaw officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Friends will be received from 2:00 P.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday March 16 2012 at the funeral home.
