Richard L. Tubo
Richard L. Tubo, 70, of Alum Bank, PA and formerly of Philipsburg, PA died on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his home.
Born on August 14, 1947 in Philipsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Louis and Grace (Greenaway) Tubo. He married Lorraine (Busch) Tubo on October 7, 2007 in Bedford, PA; she survives at home. He was previously married to Dalene (Chieppor) Tubo on February 14, 1976 in Philipsburg, PA; she preceded him in death on February 28, 2006.
He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Philipsburg, PA.
Richard was a retired supervisor for Highway Construction and Bridge Work. He was a member of the Osceola Lodge #515 F & A M of which he was the Worshipful Master in 1982 and secretary of the lodge from December 1983 until December 2008. He was the PA Grand Lodge Regional Instructor for Region 6 from December 1997 until January 2013 and the Region 3 Regional Instructor from January 2013 until his death. Richard was also a member of the Altoona Consistory and the Jaffa Shrine. He was a 1965 graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jack Turbo.
Along with his second wife he is survived by: two daughters, Krista R. Etchison of Raleigh, NC and Nicole Tubo and her fiancee John Watkins of Howard, PA; two stepdaughters, Jodie Tomko & her husband Andy of New Paris, PA and Amy Lindner & her fiancee Adam Ortega of Bedford, PA; two brothers, Donald Tubo & his wife Phebe of Niagara Falls, NY and Melvin Tubo & his wife Lois of Ft. Pierce, FL; and four grandchildren, Mya Etchison, Khloe Etchison, Aidan Miller and Evelyn Miller.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA: with Rev. Brenda Leigey officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg, PA.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
A Masonic Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
