Mary H. Temo
Mary H. Temo, 92, of Osceola Mills, PA died Sunday, April 24, 2016. Mary passed away at her home surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on January 24, 1924 in Osceola Mills, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Susana (Knap) Gura. She married Michael P. Temo on September 2, 1944 at the former St. Joseph Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA; he preceded her in death on August 7, 2001.
Mrs Temo was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA where she was a member of the Rosary Society of the church and the C D of A Court St. Victoria, Houtzdale. She was also a member of the Osceola Mills Civic Club.
She was a homemaker, had worked for the former Viceroy Sports Wear and was a 1941 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School. Mary was strong in her faith as well as being a devoted wife and mother. She was an avid baker and enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Paul Gura.
She is survived by: two daughters, Susan Borro & her husband Ronald of Arnold, MD and Mary Anne Pazmino & her husband Dr. Roy Pazmino of Philipsburg, PA; one son, Retired U. S. Army Colonel James M. Temo & his wife Mary of Durham, NC; one brother Stephen Gura & his wife Carolyn of Troy, MI. She is also survived by: seven grandchildren, Jennifer Hadro & her husband Neal, Gregory Temo and his wife Keri, Geoffrey Borro, Lauren Borro, Erica Niznik and her husband Nicholas, Matthew Godin and Marc Godin; Seven great-grandchildren, Katie & Anna Hadro, Allison, Andrew & Ryan Temo, and Emma & Ellie Niznik.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April, 29, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Osceola Mills, PA; with Rev. Father Robert Horgas officiating. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m.
Mary was a kind and generous person who was an inspiration to those whose lives she touched. She was loved and respected by family and friends.
