Esther L. Teats
Esther L. Teats, 78, of Osceola Mills, PA died Thursday, May 19, 2016 at her home.
Born on February 16, 1938 in Philipsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ai B. Teats, Sr. & Freda A. (Smith) Teats.
She was of the United Methodist Faith. She had worked for the former Philipsburg State General Hospital as a nurses aid and at the Clear-Centre Community Pool. She was a 1955 graduate of the former Cooper High School. She was a social member of the VFW Post 5020 in Osceola Mills, PA. She enjoyed cooking, baking, making fudge and apple pies, embroidering and planting flowers.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: a sister, Lillian Reiter; four brothers, Graydon Teats, Melford Teats, Ai Teats, Jr. and an infant brother Paul Teats; two sisters-in-law, June Teats, and Norma Teats; and a brother-in-law, Theodore Reiter.
She is survived by: two daughters, Jeanne L. Callahan & her husband James of Osceola Mills, PA and Lisa K. Hartmann of Bordentown, NJ; two sons, Kenneth H. Teats, Sr. of Philipsburg, PA and Jeffrey M. Teats & his wife Carla Keith of Osceola Mills, PA; two brothers, William C. Teats & his wife Linda of Philipsburg, PA and Gerald E. Teats & his wife Shirley of Karthaus, PA; five grandchildren, Jessica Lindstrom & her husband Josh, Kenneth H. Teats, Jr., Jamie Callahan, Jenna Hartmann, and Khandyce English; one great-granddaughter, Hunter Lindstrom; and a daughter-in-law, Ruth Teats; special family members; Brady, Beth, Tylan, Trey and Kelcey English; and numerous nieces, nephews, step children & step grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23 at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, PA; with Pastor Jennifer C. Heikes officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetry in Osceola Mills, PA.
Friends will be received on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
