George J. Supenia, Jr.
George J. Supenia, Jr., 89 of Osceola Mills, PA died on Monday, December 26, 2022 at his home.
Born on April 8, 1933 in Marsteller, PA, he was the son of the late George J. Supenia, Sr. & Mary (Baron) Supenia. He married Joanne A. Pleskonko on August, 10, 1953, in Maryland; who passed away on December 27, 2022.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA. He was also a member of K of C council #2250 in Osceola Mills, PA; a life Member of Columbia Fire Co. in Osceola Mills, PA; Sandy Ridge & Bald Eagle Sportsman Club; American Legion Post 313 in Osceola Mills, PA; and a Life Member of BPO Elks #1173 Philipsburg, PA.
George was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He was retired former manager of the Tyrone & Clearfield Wolf’s Furniture Co. And was a 1951 graduate of the former H-W-B High School.
George enjoyed trap shooting, fishing, hunting and playing bingo.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Supenia.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Laura Lukens & her husband John of Osceola Mills, PA; a son Tim Supenia and his wife Cindy of Osceola Mills, PA; a sister Barbara Isak of Charlottesville, VA; two grandchildren, Christie Lannon & her husband Jerry and Jason Supenia & his wife Megan; four great-grandchildren, Austin Lannon, Landon Lannon, Avery Supenia and Parker Supenia; numerous nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Alex Lathers.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Rev. Father William Barron, celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Annunciation Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Ramey, PA.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
