Robert B. Stout
Robert Bostick Stout (Bob), 87 of Philipsburg, PA, died at his home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, after a brief illness. Bob was born on March 2, 1935, in Jamestown, ND to Benjamin and Frances (Hadley) Stout. He was raised on the family farm with seven siblings. Bob had a sharp analytical mind and natural curiosity to build. He was a retired Electronic Engineer and was instrumental in many projects during his early career, such as his work on missiles, and computer prototypes. He retired early from Allen Bradley in Highland Hts, OH
Bob married Carol A Reams in Ohio on October 24, 1987. Shortly after, they built a home in Carol’s hometown in Osceola Mills, PA. There he continued to build and design many structures, machines, musical instruments, furniture, wood sculptures, repairing and refurbishing cars, trucks and tractors. This became the family farm with cherished memories forever in our hearts. He had a love for animals and nature and was known for his witty sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded by his daughter Geraldine Prenatt; his sister Irene, Julia and Frances; and brothers, Joe, George, Ben and Lee. He is survived by his wife Carol; daughters, Teresa Lombardo (Pat) of Canton, GA; Roberta Evatz of Mayfield Hts, OH; Brenda Stetler {Kevin) of Churubusco, IN; and Barbara Cabell (Todd) of Charlottesville, VA; eleven grandchildren, Nate, Halle, Angie, Mark, Arlene, Vince, Tommy, Carolynn, Hadley, Derek and Shana.; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
