Evelyn “Teddy” Socoski
Evelyn “Teddy” Socoski, 95, of Brisbin, PA, died on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.
Born on July 31, 1930 in Johnstown, PA, Teddy was the daughter of the late Evan John & Myrtle (Kephart) John. She married Paul “Crow” Socoski on October 23, 1946 in Tyrone, PA. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2005.
Evelyn was a member of the Brisbin First Church of God.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, Teddy was preceded in death by three children, Leonard Socoski, and two infant children, Scott and Tonya Socoski; a step-grandson, Albert Miller; five sisters, Frances Neal, Marion Thomas, Gladys John, Myra Date, and Beverly Marucci; and four brothers, Evan John, Jim John, Marvin John, and Glenn John, also by a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Socoski and two sons-in-law, Clair Kephart and Ronald Eaken.
She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Kay Kephart of Osceola Mills, PA, and Brenda Eaken of Tyrone, PA; three sons, Paul “Butch” Socoski & his wife Vera of Corry, PA, Randy Socoski, Sr. & his wife Michele of Houtzdale, PA, and Corey Socoski & his wife Stacy of Houtzdale, PA; a brother, Larry John & his wife Bonnie of Tionesta, PA; thirteen grandchildren, Paul Socoski III, Brian Socoski, Roger Kephart, David Kephart, Paul Kephart, Jennifer Johnson, Georgiana Walk, Randy Socoski Jr., Crystal Burns, Zach Socoski, Betty Jo Miller, and Michael Sabol; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will take place on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brisbin First Church of God. Pastor Dale Stoops will officiate.
Interment will be at the American Legion Cemetery in Brisbin, PA.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, at 701 Lingle St. Osceola Mills, PA and on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the church.
