Jean A. Smith
Jean A. Smith, 77, of Osceola Mills, PA died on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.
Born on April 11, 1940 in Osceola Mills, PA she was the daughter of the late J. Finley and Mary V. (Jamison) Baughman. She married Jordan D. Smith, Jr. on March 25, 1961 in Osceola Mills, PA; he survives at home.
Jean was a member of the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church
She was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, Quilters of the Church, United Methodist Women of the Church, the Chancel Choir, and a member of the Columbia Fire Company in Osceola Mills, PA.
She was retired from the Centre Child Development Council in Philipsburg, PA and was a 1958 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James F. Baughman.
Along with her husband, she is survived by: three sons, Richard Smith & his wife Cathy of Prince Frederick, MD, Randy Smith & his wife Trudy of Leola, PA and Pastor Donald Smith & his wife Beverly of State College, PA; seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Jennifer, Benjamin, Heather, George, Brandon and Breanna; and five great-grandchildren, Matthew, Finley, Alley, Wyatt and Avery.
The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church: with Pastor Beth Stutler officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg, PA.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Servces, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time at the church.
