Anna Scotko Sovern
Joy filled, loving, and caring Anna Scovern peacefully went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday January 31st, 2023. She made the Journey surrounded by family in her home in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was born in Karthaus, Pennsylvania on July 12th, 1959. Anna was a graduate of West Branch High School.
She is preceded in death by her parents Edward P. Scotko and Effie Young Scotko. Anna is survived by her husband Jeffery Scovern of 41 years and Son, Joshua Scovern. She is also survived by her sister Christine (David) Goosen, of Paullina, Iowa. She has multiple nieces and nephews: Cloyd, Leah, Curtis, Madeline, Kylie, Kurtis, and McKenzie.
Anna was a beacon of comfort and compassion for all who she knew. She was the most kind-hearted, loving person who the Lord placed in the lives of not only our family but the lives of many others. Anna’s expression to everyone was “It will be okay, God is in control.”
Anna’s Celebration of Life was held on March 4th at the North Raleigh United Methodist Church in Raleigh, NC.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 15th at 11:00 am at Osceola Mills Presbyterian Church, 610 Blanchard St., Osceola Mills, PA. Pastor William R. Conway will officiate. Friends and family are invited after services for a reception of remembrance and fellowship.
