Gerald C. Sankey
Gerald C. Sankey, 74, of Osceola Mills, PA, died on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at his home.
Born on November 17, 1942 in Brisbin, PA he was the son of the late Thomas & June (Schoonover) Sankey. He married Melody F. (Hosband) Sankey on December 6, 1969 in Sandy Ridge, PA: she survives at home.
Mr Sankey was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Houtzdale, PA.
He was retired from Penelec at the Shawville Station, and a 1960 graduate of the 
Moshannon Valley High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the Osceola Mills Lodge #515 F. & A. M. Osceola Mills, PA, Loyal Order of the Moose #327 Houtzdale, PA and the American Legion Post #591 Houtzdale, PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: one daughter, Loree A. Jordan; and one brother, Thomas L. Sankey.
Along with his wife, he is survived by: three daughters, Diana D. Cartwright & her husband Andrew of Sandy Ridge, PA, Karen J. Sankey & her husband Kevin Dressler of State College, PA and Denise E. Harmic & her husband Steven of Clearfield, PA; one brother, Rick Sankey of Brisbin, PA; and five grandchildren, Baylee, Rachel, Adam, Jack & Audrey.
The Funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, PA: with Rev. Father William Ellis officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 9:00 am until funeral time at the funeral home.
Masonic Memorial Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Loyal Order of the Moose Memorial Services will follow at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
