Freeman W. “Bud” Reiter
Freeman W. “Bud” Reiter, 61 of Philipsburg, PA passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Altoona Regional Health Systems – Altoona Hospital Campus, in Altoona, PA.
Born on November 28, 1950 in Philipsburg, PA. He was the son of the late G. Wesley & Lois L. (Burns) Reiter. He was married to Carol A. (Kerfoot) Reiter on April 19, 1980 in Osceola Mills, PA.
Mr. Reiter was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Philipsburg, PA where he was a Sunday School Teacher. He was also a member of the Osceola Lodge #515 F & A M, Altoona Consistory, B P O Elks #1173 of Philipsburg and the Sandy Ridge Sportsman Club.
He was a retired Sales and Purchasing Agent for Lee Industries in Philipsburg, PA. Mr. Reiter graduated from the Philipsburg – Osceola High School class of 1968 and from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1972.
Mr. Reiter was an organ donor. He was also an avid pistol shooter and marksman.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Beth A. Reiter and her companion Stephen Gallo of Julian, PA; a son David W. Reiter of Philipsburg, PA; a sister Susanne J. Watson and her husband Lynn of Watsontown, PA; a nephew Eric Watson and his wife Jamie of Turbotville, PA; and a niece Brandy Watson and her fiancee Jeff Schell of Philadelphia, PA.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA, with Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg, PA.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m on Wednesday at the funeral home followed by the Elks Memorial Service which will be held at 7:30 p.m.
