My sincerest sympathies go out to the Rebar and Sankey families in this time of great loss. I will never forget Kathy and her smile and contagious laugh. She was a great person who will be missed by all that knew her. We worked together in the Houtzdale Lion’s Club activities. She and I even stayed up all night to chaperone one of the Moshannon Valley High School’s post proms that was partially sponsored by the Lion’s club–she, if I recall, was in charge of shopping for the many gifts and giveaways that were given to the students at the conclusion of the post prom the morning after–I was falling asleep while sitting on the stage of the auditorium and she kept having to wake me up to help her. I also will never forget the times when we were just hanging out on the back deck of the house on Good Street whether it was waiting for the Houtzdale Day’s parade to start or just enjoying a family cookout or other reason to have a good time.
