Ruben Allen Ralston
Ruben Allen Ralston got to meet his Heavenly Father Sept 27, 2026 after spending 87 years on this earth living for and awaiting the eternal reward that he shared his path of with so many during his time with us.
He was born August 18, 1939 in Philipsburg, to Walter Frances and Elverta (Walstrom) Ralston.
He spent every day with his wife Delores, who he loved and cherished deeply. He is survived by his wife Delores, along with their daughter Delores “Moe” Bainey and her husband Tim. They had 3 Grandchildren, Timmy & his wife Nikki, Dan & his wife Jenn, and Randy – and 2 Great Grandkids Starcia & Bentley.
He was a lifelong student of God’s Word. His passion in living a life full of faith was evident to all he met, and his main goal during his time on this earth was to share that faith with others in the hope that one day they would join him in receiving God’s gift of eternal life.
He lived a life full of God and his family. Hosting memorable Thanksgivings (& thanksgiving eve) with his very extended family was always one of his most cherished times of the year. So many brother and sister in-laws, along with their nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews would visit… it was always a memorable time of the year for everyone.
He enjoyed his childhood and loved to share stories of adventures he had growing up with his brothers and sisters Francis, Bob, Kay, Sammy, Janice, and Bucky.
He enjoyed each and every “season” of life in his earthly body and allowed us to understand what “living a life for Christ” was for those who knew him . From his childhood with family and friends, to sharing the truest love you could imagine with his wife, being a dad and sharing memories with his daughter “moe”, to being the best “Pap” you could ever imagine to his Grandkids, he truly influenced us all in the most meaningful ways.
He will be missed, but as he would say “our time on earth is but a blink of an eye when compared to eternity” – and his morning and nightly prayer every single day was for us to believe in Christ, have faith, and live a life that would allow us to look forward to spending our eternity together with him in heaven.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parsonville Assembly of God Church, 45 Bulka Rd., Houtzdale, PA Rev. Ron Korzeniowski will officiate. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to funeral time at the church.
Burial will follow at the Sanborn Cemetery
