Richard A. Pryde, Sr.
Richard A. Pryde, Sr. 81, of the Mountain Laurel Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield, PA and formerly of Philipsburg, PA died on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Penn Highlands, DuBois.
Born on November 4, 1939 in Philipsburg, PA he was the son of the late Lowman and Elizabeth (Webster) Pryde. He married Mary Elizabeth (Fleck) Pryde on June 6, 1959 in Philipsburg, PA, she preceded him in death on January 28, 2017.
He was of the Christian Faith.
Richard was retired from YBC in Philipsburg, PA and was a 1957 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by: one sister, Patty Kephart; two brothers, Lee Pryde and Lowman (Bud) Pryde.
He is survived by: one daughter, Tawni Phillips of Philipsburg, PA; three sons, Richard Allen Pryde, Jr. of Lanse, PA, Christopher Pryde & his wife Melanie of Osceola Mills, PA and Robert Pryde of Philipsburg, PA; four sisters, Nancy J. Pelton & her husband Roger of Morrisdale, PA, Janice L.
Rowles & her husband John of Clearfield, PA, Linda Roach & her husband Dennis of Osceola Mills, PA and Debbie L. Perks of Osceola Mills, PA; one brother, William A. Pryde of Tuscon, AZ; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
There will be no viewing or funeral service.
Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg, PA.
