Robert H. “Teen” Owens
Robert H. “Teen” Owens, 94, of the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield, PA and formerly of Shawville, PA died on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield, PA.
Born on July 8, 1924 in Eden, PA he was the son of the late Seymore and Sarah (Hansey) Owens.
He was of the United Methodist Faith.
Teen was a retired coal miner for Lady Jane Colliers in Penfield, PA, delivered U.S. mail as a private carrier,
a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the Clearfield Lodge F & A M.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter; and four brothers, Richard Owens, Clarence Owens, Forney Owens and Blake Owens.
He is survived by: two daughters, Anita Poust & her husband Richard “Rick” of Williamsport, PA and Lisa Picard & her companion Dean Auen of Frenchville, PA; four sons, Dean Owens of Clearfield, PA, Brian Owens of Clearfield, PA, Mike Owens & his wife Carol of Clearfield, PA and Shawn Owens & his wife Tami of Shawville, PA; one sister, Shirley Swaggert & her husband Charles of Altoona, PA; four brothers, Joseph Owens of Curwensville, PA, Arthur Owens & his wife Betty of Frenchville, PA, Ed Owens & his wife Carol of of Shawville, PA and Harold Owens; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
A Public Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at the LeContes Mills Fire Hall; with Pastor Ken Leonard officiating. Burial will be at the Congress Hill Cemetery in LeContes Mills, PA.
