John P. “Cat” McGuire
John P. “Cat” McGuire, 60, of Osceola Mills, PA died on Monday December 5, 2022, at his home.
Born on October 18, 1962, in Philipsburg, PA, he was the son of Bernadine E. (Shinafelt) McGuire of Houtzdale, PA. He married Tina A. Pierson on July 4, 2010; she survives at home.
John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of St. Anthony’s Society, VFW #5020 and the Slovak Club, all in Osceola Mills, PA.
John was a retired house painter.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond “Dean” McGuire, Russell “Pidge” McGuire and Russell Jaye McGuire.
Along with his wife, John is survived by, four daughters, Amber Pierson of Osceola Mills, PA, Cassandra McGuire & her fiancé Stephne Kohute, Jr. of Philipsburg, PA, Deana McGuire of Osceola Mills, PA and Stephanie McGuire of Pittsburgh, PA; four sons, Michael McGuire & his wife Diana of Pittsburgh, PA, Christopher McGuire of Pittsburgh, PA, Gage McGuire of State College, PA and Austin McGuire of State College, PA; a sister, Diane McGuire of Osceola Mills, PA; and twelve grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10. 2022 at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA, with Rev. Timothy Richmond officiating. Burial will be at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
