Kathy M. McDowell
Kathy M. McDowell, 67, of Woodland, PA died on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Penn Highlands, DuBois, PA.
Born on December 27, 1953 in Philipsburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Gill) Showers. She married Paul I. McDowell on September 28, 2004 in Las Vegas, NV, he survives at home.
She was a member of the Gethsemane United Methodzpist Church in Allport, PA.
Kathy was previously employed as a notary for seventeen years with Weisgarber Auto Sales in Clearfield, PA and as a tax preparer with H&R Block in Philipsburg, PA. She currently owned and operated her own business, McDowell Notary and Taxes in Woodland, PA. She was a 1971 graduate of the Philipsburg Osceola Mills High School.
She enjoyed camping, boating, riding ATVs and numerous other outdoor activities.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: three husbands, Eugene Knepp, Charles Wills and John Taylor, Sr.; and one brother, Charles Showers.
Along with her husband she is survived by: three sons, Steve Knepp & his wife Valerie of Wallaceton, PA, David Wills and his wife Jennifer of Morrisdale, PA and John “Jack” Taylor, Jr. & his wife Jolene of Osceola Mills, PA; two brothers, Sam Showers & his wife Helen of Osceola Mills, PA and Kenneth Showers of Clearfield, PA; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA: with Pastor Chris Pfleegor officiating. Burial will be at Bradford Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
