Rev. Lloyd C. McClarren
Rev. Lloyd C. McClarren, 91, of West Decatur, PA died on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Born on December 4, 1926 in West Decatur, PA he was the son of the late Maynard and Hazel (Williams) McClarren. He was married to Evelyn (Smeal) Undercofler McClarren on February 14, 1995 at the Ohio United Methodist Church: she survives at home.
He was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in West Decatur, PA.
Lloyd had formerly been an agricultural teacher and was a retired United Methodist Minister. He was a
graduate of the former Philipsburg High School class of 1944, graduated from Penn State University in 1951, graduated from Evangelical School of Theology in 1965 and was a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his first wife, Jane (Schucker) McClarren; his second wife, Rev. Eleanor (Diggs) McClarren; one daughter, Linda Lee; and one son Dennis McClarren; one sister, Mabel Hampton; and three brothers, Ottis, Leo and Harold “Skip” McClarren.
In addition to his wife he is survived by: three sisters, Betty Nester & her husband Al of Lamar, PA, Joy Foster & her husband Donald of West Decatur, PA and Shirley Dively & her husband Robert of State College, PA; and one brother, Ralph McClarren & his wife Jean of West Decatur, PA.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Salem United Methodist Church in West Decatur, PA: with Pastor Michael Knepp officiating.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until funeral time at the church.
