Robert L. Mattern
Floyd and Janet Hauth
We offer our condolences to Ruth and all of your family. Bob was a great asset to our community and contributed much time and effort to the Historical Foundation, his church, and to all of the veteran’s organizations. Unfortunately, we will be out of the area this weekend and cannot attend his services, but you will all be in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss him!

Ruth and family, Bob was one of the sweetest men on this earth. I always enjoyed his stories of when he and Ruth dated. We very much enjoyed having him as a volunteer at the library. He will be greatly missed ❤️

Bob and Ruth house was always a place to go when growing up, if not just some place to hide from your parents. All our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. All our love

Our condolences to the family. Always enjoyed talking with Bob over the years. We both always had some tall tale to tell. May the Peace of our Lord be with you all.

My condolences to the Mattern Family. Mr. Mattern was another example of why it was great to grow up in Osceola. He was very active in town & was a great role model for the youth of Osceola.

Ruth and family, my sympathy to all. Bob was an outstanding Christian and a very important member of the church. He always had a kind word. He and John enjoyed singing side by side in the choir. May God bless you with strength and comfort. Linda Matia & family

So sorry to read today, January 29, in the Philipsburg Journal of the recent passing of Bob. He and Ruth and all of you are good people and wonderful community leaders in Osceola Mills. Bob lived a long and good Christian life and he will be missed by all who know him.
