Thomas E. Matia
Thomas E. Matia, 66, of Osceola Mills, PA, died on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at his home.
Born on December 12, 1950 in Philipsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Adam & Florence (Petrosky) Matia. He married Sally J. (Wilcox) Matia on November 12, 2013 in Philipsburg, PA: she survives at home.
Mr. Matia was of the Catholic Faith.
He was a member of the PA Army National Guard, the Moshannon Lodge #391 F. & A. M. in Philipsburg, PA of which he served as Worshipful Master in 1985 and a former councilman for the Osceola Mills Borough. He was Owner & Operator of T.E. Matia Enterprises of Osceola Mills, PA, a 1968 graduate of the Philipsburg Osceola High School and graduated in 1969 from the Wheel & Track School.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: two daughters, Ashley Tekely & her husband Stephen of DuBois, PA and Liza Miller & her husband Kyle of Clearfield, PA; one son, Zach Simler & his companion Haylee Shimmel of Osceola Mills, PA and three grandchildren, Tessa Ansley Tekely, Emery Rose Tekely and Reid Marshall Miller.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, PA: with Pastor Mary Emery officiating.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 10:00 am until funeral time at the funeral home.
Masonic Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
