Janice R. Mathews
Janice R. Mathews, 78, of Osceola Mills, PA died Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.
Born on January 27, 1938 in Philipsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clair W. and Gertrude (Sankey) Boob. She married Edward P. Mathews on January 9, 1956 in Osceola Mills, PA; he preceded her in death on December 10, 2013.
Mrs. Mathews was a member of the Centre United Methodist Church in Osceola Mills, PA. She was retired from the former Corning Asahi Video Products and had worked for Fullington Bus and General Cigar. She was a 1955 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by: a son Edward M. Mathews; a grandson Justin Myers; a sister Maxine Brown; and three brothers, Harold, Robert, and Jack Boob.
She is survived by: three daughters, Kim Fyock & her husband Robert of Smoke Run, PA, Tina Dixon & her husband Kevin of Osceola Mills, PA and Tracy Remp & her husband Ed of Osceola Mills, PA; a son, Bruce Mathews & his companion Michelle Brennan of Osceola Mills, PA; and a brother, James Boob & his wife Rosemary of NJ.
She is also survived by: ten grandchildren, Robert, Mike & Melonie Fyock, Brian Mathews, Tyler Dixon, Macy & MaKayla Jury, Hunter, Rebecca & Logan Remp; and six great-grandchildren, Katelyn Gray, Cameron, Dylan, Nathanael & Emma Fyock and Ethan Garcia.
The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, PA; with Pastor Jennifer C. Heikes officiating.
Friends will be received on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
