James A. Maney, Jr.
James A. Maney, Jr., 74, of Morann, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital in Clearfield, PA.
Mr. Maney was the son of the late Albert & Virgie (Ralston) Maney, born on February 3, 1938 in (Morgan Run), Decatur Township, PA. He married Carole E. (Hornberger) Maney on February 14, 1999 in Ripley, NY.
He attended the Parsonville Assembly of God Church and served in the US Army. He was a member of the Morann Club and the L.O.O.Moose #327 in Houtzdale, PA. Mr. Maney was a retired self-employed carpenter and graduated from East Brunswick Vo-Tech in East Brunswick, NJ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Along with his wife, Mr. Maney is survived by: four daughters, Darlene Foland of South Amboy, NJ, Jody Jordan & her husband Greg of Ramey, PA, Dody Garafolo & her husband John of East Brunswick, NY, and Billie Jo Arnold of South Brunswick, NJ; two sons, James Maney, III & his wife Lisa of Morann, PA, and George Maney & his companion Jan McCloskey of Morann, PA; four sisters, Minerva Koebig & her husband Henry of Mesa, AZ, Joyce McKinney of New Bern, NC, Regina Randolph & her husband William of Madisonville, TN, and Donna Ware & her husband Rev. Raphael Ware of Toma River, NJ; a brother, Lewis Maney & his wife Leona of Madisonville, TN; nineteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA with Rev. Raphael Ware officiating. Burial will be at the Sanborn Cemetery, (Sanborn) R.D. Houtzdale, PA.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
