George Mandrick
George Mandrick, 89, of Smithmill, PA died on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at James E. VanZandt VA Medical Center in Altoona, PA.
Born on March 31, 1932 in Madera, PA he was the son of the late John and Eva (Hoszowsky) Mandrick. He married Margaret M. (Reed) Mandrick on April 23, 1965 in Buffalo, NY, she survives at home.
George was retired construction worker and a member of the Local Labor Union #824 in Pittsburgh, PA since November 25, 1968. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: one son, Robert Mandrick; six sisters, Nancy, Sue, Ann, Mary, Helen and Catherine; and three brothers, John, Metro and Mike.
Along with his wife he is survived by: two sons, George Allen Mandrick & his wife Tina Lynn of DuBois, PA and Mark A. Mandrick of Smilthmill, PA; two grandchildren, Matthew and Melissa Mandrick; and two great-grandchildren Logan and Lucille Mandrick.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA: with Father Paul Bigelow, Orthodox Priest officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
