Michael Martin Lutz
Michael Martin Lutz, 91, of the Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville, PA and formerly of Osceola Mills, PA died on Saturday, July, 21, 2018 at the Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville, PA.
Born on May 21, 1927 in Ramey, PA he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Whitesura) Lutz. He married Beverly (Winters) Lutz on November 15, 1954 in Clearfield, PA. She preceded him in death on December 24, 2010.
He was a member of the Clearfield Alliance Church in Clearfield, PA.
Michael was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of WWII and was retired from General Motors after twenty five years at the Chevy Delavin Plant in Buffalo, NY. He only went to eighth grade and had to quit school to help the family make ends meet.
He was an avid outdoors man who loved fishing and hunting. He was a self taught in auto mechanics and carpentry work.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by: four sisters, Mary Vereshack, Catherine Prince, Rose Vereshack and Helen Lutz; and six brothers, John, Martin, Victor, Joseph, Stephen and Frank Lutz.
He is survived by: two sons, Norman M. Lutz of Abingdon, MD and Michael M. Lutz, Jr. & his wife Tanya of Elbridge, NY; one sister, Agnes Rodkey of Ramey, PA; and two grandchildren, Michael M. Lutz, IV of Rochester, NY and Nicholas C. Lutz of Syracuse, NY.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA: with Rev. Robert B. Goldenberg officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
