Dorothy Jane Luce

Dorothy Jane Luce, 89, of Clearfield, PA died on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Mountain Laurel Nursing Home.  Born on May 16, 1937, in Curwensville, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Zena (Johnson) Clark.  On July 14, 1956, she married Harold E. Luce, who preceded her in death on March 15, 2017. 

Dorothy was of the Baptist faith. In addition to being a homemaker, she was employed by Berg Electronics for many years.  Dorothy spent her life making sure everyone around her was well cared for.  She always provided a warm home, a full plate, and unconditional love. The happiness she kindled and kindness she spread will be deeply missed by those who loved her and were shaped by her.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Luzier; two grandchildren, Matthew (Stephanie) Luzier and Lindsay (Emerson) Miller; seven great-grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb, CJ, Thomas, Sarah, Dymitri, and Mattea; a great-great-grandchild, Ivy; a brother, Henry Clark; and a sister, Janet Hepfer. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Harold E. Luce Jr., grandson, Joshua Thomas Luzier, and a sister, Helen Tootie Aughenbaugh. A private ceremony and burial will be held with the family at Stoneville Cemetery in Clearfield, PA.
