Alex Lawriski
Alex Lawriski, 88, of Hollidaysburg, PA, formerly of Osceola Mills, PA and Philipsburg, PA, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home in Hollidaysburg, PA.
He was the son of the late Mike & Mary (Kutya) Lawriski, born on May 30, 1925 in Osceola Mills, PA.
Mr. Lawriski was of the Ukrainian Catholic Faith. He was an Army Veteran of W.W.II, a Life Member of VFW Post 5020 in Osceola Mills, PA, and a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a retired Sheet Metal Worker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters.
Mr. Lawriski is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA, with Rev. Father Joseph Staszewski officiating. Burial will be at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA.
Military Honors will be accorded on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
