Our Nan was always kind, loving, strong, gentle but fierce and a faithful believer in God. We will miss her tremendously, but we are thankful that she is no longer suffering. We could never have asked for a better Grandma. May she rest in peace in the arms of her Savior and reunited with our Grandfather John.

To me Althea was my Nan or as others would call it my great grandmother. She was a God fearing Christian, fun loving, and family oriented. I’ll always remember those last few summers we spent together.They where some of the best memories of my life. I’ll always remember Nan and her sweet tooth for cake and ice cream. Nan made life fun & anyone who met her knew she had the spirit of God within. When Nan was 82 or maybe even 83 I remember her, my grandfather Tom, my grandmother Bonnie, and I all went to Blands Park & rode the water slides & rides. We all laughed so hard and Nan rode EVERY water slide along with Gram & Pap each of them walking all those flights of stairs laughing as they rode the tubes together to the bottom. Because of you guys I got to experience what the definition of family is. Joy. Love. Laughter. You always had holiday dinners, family reunions, you turned off the TV and paid attention to anyone who was there to visit. I love you Nan and I’m so blessed to have known you.
