Frank J. Kowalcyk
Frank J. Kowalcyk of Sandy Ridge, PA died on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at his home while surrounded by his family and best friend, his dog Pepper.
Born on October 5, 1937 in Madera, PA, he was the son of the late Frank & Ann (Wozniak) Kowalcyk. He married Marcia A. Beres on August 3, 1958 in Sandy Ridge, PA; she preceded him in death on February 10, 2020.
Frank was a life member of the L.O.O.Moose # 154 in Osceola Mills, PA, where he was the Former Administrator of the Moose for 18 years, Former Past Governor and Former District 9 President. He was retired from the PA Department of Highways as a Bridge Forman. And he was a 1955 graduate of the former Madera High School.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Treaster.
Frank is survived by five daughters, Deborah Hardeman & her husband Charles of Martinsburg, PA, Sandra Turner & her husband Bradley of Moshannon, PA, Shelly Foster & her husband Charles of Sandy Ridge, PA, Tracy Kowalcyk of Middletown, PA, and Cheri Smith & her husband Terry of Houtzdale, PA; two sons, Michael Kowalcyk & his wife Mary of Sandy Ridge, PA and Stephen Kowalcyk of Sandy Ridge, PA; two sisters, Helen Orges & her husband Sylvester of Parma, OH and Cecelia Worblesky & her husband Jim of Parma, OH; twelve grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Heath Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA; with Pastor Janet K. Kephart officiating.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
