Karen J. Kephart

Karen J. Kephart, 71, of Philipsburg, PA, died on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at her home in Philipsburg.

Born on April 4, 1954, in Philipsburg, PA, Karen was the daughter of Shirley A. (Husted) Conklin of Philipsburg, PA & the late Robert T. Conklin. She married Glenn Wilbur Kephart on August 29, 1987 in Philipsburg, PA and he survives at home.

Karen was a member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church in Osceola Mills, PA. She was also a social member of the Amvets Post #159 in Philipsburg, PA, and a social member of the American Legion Post #437 of Philipsburg, PA. She was a member of the Ladies Aux. of the VFW Post #3450 in Philipsburg, PA. Karen was also the former Mayor of Chester Hill.

She was a homemaker and she had her GED.

In addition to her father, Karen was preceded in death by a brother, Robert D. “Blue” Conklin.

In addition to her mother and husband, Karen is survived by two daughters, Lindsey A. Kephart of Philipsburg, PA, and Christina M. Williams & her husband Jim of West Decatur, PA; four sons, T.J. Kephart of Philipsburg, PA, Wilbur G. Kephart & his companion Erica of Woodland, PA, William G, Kephart & his wife Tracy of Woodland, PA, and Duane H. “Bozo” Kephart & his companion Shannon of New York; two sisters, Cindy A. Wick & her husband Richard of Philipsburg, PA, and Dottie S. Wood & her husband Jim of Philipsburg, PA; one brother, H. Scott Conklin & his wife Terri of Philipsburg, PA; fourteen grandchildren, Abby, Serenity, Shyla, George, Zachary, Kyler, Matthew, Maverick, Memphis, Mark, Wesley, Madison, Duane Jr., and Jasmine; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At Karen’s request, there will be no funeral service or visitation.
