Rita J. Kennedy
Rita J. Kennedy, 83, of Osceola Mills, PA died on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.
Born on November 1, 1934 in Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the late Andrew & Anna (Patkalitsky) Buynak. She married Ardell R. Kennedy on April 26, 1952 in Osceola Mills, PA; he survives at home.
Rita was a member of the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church.
She was retired from Commercial Printing in State College, PA. She had worked for the former Osceola Mills Leader, the former Steel Publications in Osceola Mills, PA and was a 1952 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School. She was a member of TOPS and was a volunteer at the Osceola Mills Food Bank.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Veronica Yost and one brother, Chester Buynak.
Along with her husband, she is survived by: one daughter, Cindy J. Neidrick & her husband Joseph of Osceola Mills, PA; one son, Dennis A. Kennedy & his wife Myrna of Hampstead, MD; five grandchildren, Joseph Neidrick & his wife Maria, Bethany Neidrick, Abbey (Kennedy) Will, Grace Kennedy, and Graeme Kennedy; and two great-grandchildren, Lillian Neidrick and Nora Neidrick.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church: with Pastor Beth Stutler officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, PA and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time.
