John P. “Jack” Irwin
John P. “Jack” Irwin, 88, of Osceola Mills, PA died on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the Windy Hill Village PSL, Philipsburg, PA.
Born on July 14, 1929 in Houtzdale, PA he was the son of the late Paul and Helen (Carey) Irwin. He married Vanetta J. (Webster) Irwin on September 1, 1950 in Northeast, PA married for 67 years, she survives at home.
Jack was a member of the New Life Center in Philipsburg, PA.
He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve and was a retired plumber. Along with his wife they were the owners of the Mapledale Trailer Court. He was a 1947 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School. He liked watching Penn State Football and the Pittsburgh Pirates, hunting, fishing, woodworking and was a “Jack of all Trades”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: two daughters, Janeen Lynn Irwin and Jill Diane Irwin; and one sister, Margaret Derrick.
Along with his wife, he is survived by: three sons, John “Jackie” Irwin of Curwensville, PA, Todd F. Irwin of Osceola Mills, PA and Craig Irwin & his wife Diane of Tipton, PA; one sister, Jane Bouch of Brookville, PA; one brother, Robert Irwin & his wife Louise of Hollidaysburg, PA; and one grandson, Shane Irwin of Osceola Mills, PA.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA: with Rev. John T. Dill officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
