Mary Ann Hockman
My condolences and prayers to the family of Mary Lou. She was a sweet and compassionate lady. Always willing to help with any dinners or projects of the Rosary Society. I will miss her scalloped potatoes and blueberries!

I met Mary Lou many years ago when she visited Frances in New Mexico. I loved her through Frances all of these years since then. I knew she was a loving and beautiful woman, wife, mother and grandmother through the many stories and memories Frances had shared with me over the years. May her loving soul Rest In Peace and may all of her family be comforted by God’s love.
Sister Clare Marie Beichner, SSJ
On behalf of Sister Agnes Marie Hughes and all the Sisters of St. Joseph we offer our prayers of comfort and sympathy to the family for a blessed and graced wife, mother and grandmother. It was a joy to meet Mary Lou when she came to visit Sister Agnes Marie. When I told Sister about her passing, she kept saying – what a wonderful mother of eight… such a good woman. May you all live her values forward.

Mary Lou was our dear son-in-law Leo’s mom, our daughter Lori’s mother-in-law, and our Hughes grand kids Chris, Mike, Megan, Sean and Kevin’s grandmother. She was a wonderful role model to them… and, to us. May God’s Peace touch Leo, Sr., and the entire Hughes family. Ned and Jean
The Young family from Syracuse, Ny
To Leo Sr. and all the children / nieces / nephews / grand childrennd of Mary Lou’s: Mary Lou was a wonderful person to all of us throughout the many years we were visiting Osceola Mills! We appreciate everything she did for our entire family from way back in the day of popsicles at Herder Spring Lodge, feeding Dad during Hunting camp, and lastly helping us with Dad’s burial…what a wonderful woman!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time!!

Mary Lou (Rodgers) Hughes was a special human being. She loved her husband and her family! She was a dedicated Wife, Mother and caretaker! She enjoyed playing the organ for her church and helping others in their time of need. Not many mothers of eight children would take the time and care enough to help the sick and elderly members of her family and community. She is a Saint! May she rest in peace!
Betty A. Rodkey
My sincere condolences to the family. I knew Mary Lou for many years through attending CDA meetings and other church events. Also, being from Houtzdale, I knew the Rodgers family. In fact, many years ago, I worked at the Rodgers Market in Houtzdale. My sincere sympathy, Betty A. Rodkey, 1350 Leonard St., Apt. 105, Clearfield, PA 16830

My sympathy to the family. Mary Lou was very generous with her time and talent. I appreciate her being available to play for funerals and to help out with her talent whenever she was needed. She was a wonderful person to be around and will be missed.
