Robert R. Hoover. 68 of Sandy Ridge, PA, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.
He was the son of the late Donald & Mabel (Brocail) Hoover, born on August 10, 1944 in Philipsburg, PA. He married Jolie D. (Kyler) Hoover on September 10, 1966 in Sandy Ridge. PA.
Mr. Hoover was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Sandy Ridge, PA. He was employed and retired after working for Gwin Engineers and HRI, Inc. for 43 years combined. He was a 1962 graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola High School and graduated from Penn State University in 1966 as a civil engineer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: a daughter, Michelle J. Moore & her husband, William of Sandy Ridge, PA; a son, Scott C. Hoover and his wife Rusty of Osceola Mills, PA; three brothers, Ronald Hoover of Osceola Mills, PA, Terry Hoover & his wife Gail of State College, PA, and Charles Hoover & his wife Darlene of (New Liberty) Philipsburg, PA; four grandchildren, McKenzie C. Moore, Parker E. Moore, Cole A. Hoover & Seth C. Hoover; and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA, with Pastor Mark Thuma officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2. 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 at the funeral home
