Jane C. Hollis
Jane C. Hollis, 90, of Philipsburg, PA died on Monday, March 21, 2022 at the home of her daughter Annette H. James in Philipsburg, PA.
Born on August 16, 1931 in Philipsburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Stephen Karl Blasko and Mary (Luther) Blasko. She married Francis H. “Budd” Hollis on June 12. 1954 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA: he survives at home.
Jane was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA.
She was a member of the Rosary Society, she was very active in the church, past President of the Hobby Garden Club, Eucharistic Minister, Treasurer of the Chinkalamoose Square Dance Club, CCD Teacher, VFW Post 5020 Ladies Auxiliary, one of the original founders of the Osceola Mills Food Bank and a former Girl Scout Leader.
Jane was retired from the Philipsburg Area Hospital as a payroll clerk and was a 1949 graduate of the former Philipsburg High School.
She enjoyed square dancing, playing bingo, scratching lottery tickets, puzzles, casino bus trips, and making her famous Texas Sheet Cake.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: one son, Patrick Hollis, four sisters, Josephine Reed, Helen Wilson, Marie Snedden and Margaret “Peg” Chilcote; and two brothers, Tom and Steve Balsko.
Along with her husband, she is survived by: two daughters, Janine Brungart & her husband Tim of Philipsburg, PA and Annette James & her husband Pat of Philipsburg, PA; two sons, Jerry Hollis & his wife Lucy of La Mirada, CA and Dan Hollis & his wife Dawn of Etters, PA; one sister, Agnes Quick of Dothan, AL; five grandchildren, Landin Hollis & his wife Kristin, Logan Hollis & his wife Molly, Aaron James, Kyra James, and Jalyn James; and three granddogs, Peter, Ruger, and Rocky.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA: with Rev. Father Robert Horgas celebrant.
Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA.
Rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
