Edward B. Holden
Edward B. Holden. 70 of Osceola Mills, PA passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at his home.
Born on July 1, 1941 to Angeline (Grundusky) Holden and the late Russell S. Holden in Houtzdale, PA. He married Patsy J. (Rice) Holden on August 25, 1962 in Osceola Mills, PA.
Mr. Holden was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus #2250 in Osceola Mills, PA and served as the Grand Knight for many years; he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus #8701 in Morrisdale, PA; and Pope John Paul II Assembly #0952 4th Degree.
He was a retired salesman for Reich Drill in Philipsburg, PA and served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his Father, Mr. Holden was preceded in death by an infant brother Jimmy Holden.
He is survived by two daughters Sherri L. Thompson of Houtzdale, PA and Shelly L. Butterbaugh and her companion Robert Hanson of Sandy Ridge, PA; a son Edward A. Holden of Osceola Mills, PA; eight grandchildren Jennifer Thompson and her companion R. J. Bainey, Katelin Thompson, Ryan Butterbaugh, Nicole Butterbaugh, Colton Hanson, Jessica Holden, Alison Holden, and Jacob Holden; a great-granddaughter Aubrey Bainey; two sisters Doris Covey, Geneva, NY and Nancy Baughman and her husband William of Osceola Mills, PA; and four brothers Russell Holden and his wife Carol of Philipsburg, PA, Kenneth Holden and his wife Pat of Philipsburg, PA , Gerald Holden and his wife Marcia of Osceola Mills, PA and Thomas Holden and his wife Lisa of Philipsburg.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 1, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA with Rev. Robert J. Kelly Celebrant officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA. Rosary will be recited by the Knights of Columbus at the funeral home on Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
