Virginia A. “Jinka” Hess
Virginia A. “Jinka” Hess, 72, of Osceola Mills, PA died on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Epworth Manor Personal Care in Tyrone, PA.
Born on December 7, 1942 in Philipsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael A. & Anna (Postiach) Pollick. She married William E. “Mope” Hess in 1986 in Osceola Mills, PA, he survives at home.
Mrs. Hess was a member of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Osceola Mills, PA. She was a retired beautician, after retirement she worked as a stained glass artist. She was a 1960 graduate of the Philipsburg – Osceola High School and graduated from the Pruonto’s Hair Design Institute in Altoona, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: two sisters, Florence Coulter and Jane Brennish; and a brother, John “Jack” Pollick.
Along with her husband, Mrs. Hess is survived by: a son, Gregory Kline & his wife Leanna of Osceola Mills, PA; two daughters, Carole Hite & her husband Thomas of Osceola Mills, PA and Greta Mills & her husband Robert of Osceola Mills, PA; a brother, James Pollick & his wife Evelyn of Osceola Mills, PA; and six grandchildren, Logan Kline, Gwyneth Kline, Cecelia Hite, Nolan Hite, Clint Mills and Alan Mills.
A Burial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Osceola Mills, PA, with Archimandrite Jacob Piruta officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, PA.
Panikhida will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
