John C. “J.C.” Heath
John C. “J.C.” Heath, 47, of Bloomington, Minnesota and formerly of Osceola Mills, died Palm Sunday, April 10, 2022, while on a camping trip in Washington County, Missouri.
John was born on June 14, 1974, in State College, a son of J. Charles and Sandra L. (Dickey) Heath, who survive of Osceola Mills.
He was born, baptized and raised in the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church.
During his youth and teenage years, he was a member of the church’s Junior Choir, the Osceola Mills Boy Scouts, the Osceola Mills Junior High Band, he played baseball in the Osceola Mills Little and Teener Leagues and served as a lifeguard with the Osceola Mills Clear-Centre Pool. He loved playing tennis; especially with his good friend, Rev. Dave Lewis.
J.C. was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. He was also an avid outdoorsman; he was very adept at hunting and trapping.
He was a 1992 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School. Following high school, he attended Lock Haven University.
He served with the US Navy and was a veteran of the Global War on Terrorism.
He was currently employed as a supervisor with Lifecore Bio Medical, Chaska, Minnesota.
J.C. was married to Whitney L. (Hayes) Heath who survives.
He is also survived by three daughters: Natasha Heath, of Philadelphia, Solana Heath, of Milesburg and Kendall N. Heath, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; one son, Dakota S. Heath, of Milesburg; two sisters, Kimberly A. Thompson, M.D. and her husband, Larry Thompson, M.D., of Erie and Melissa S. Rodgers and her husband, Lance Rodgers, of Carlton; one brother, Timothy A. Heath, of Osceola Mills; two nieces, Summer Rodgers and Emily Thompson; two nephews, Alex Rodgers and Larry Thompson, III; and one great-nephew, Theodore Ryan Rodgers.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert G. and I. Marguerite Dickey; his paternal grandparents, John S. and Virginia E. Heath; and an uncle and aunt, Robert R. and Sarah “Sally” L. Heath.
A funeral service will be held at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, Osceola Mills, on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 11 am, with Pastor Donald Smith and Rev. Percy O. Kephart, Jr. co-officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, April 22, 2022, from 6 to 8 pm and on Saturday from 10 am until the time of the funeral service.
Interment will be in Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
