John D. Graffius

John D. Graffius, 86, of Houtzdale, PA died on Sunday, October, 24, 2021 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Born on November 2, 1934 in Ramey, PA he was the son of the late Chester D. and Ruth (Miller) Graffius.  He married Joan (Maines) Graffius in June of 2010, she survives at home.

John was of the Christian Faith.

He was a Korean and Vietnam War U. S. Air Force veteran and a Life Member of the Freeberg American Legion Post #591 in Houtzdale, PA.  John was a 1950 graduate of the former Madera High School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Donald, Ivan, Lynn and Zane Graffius.

Along with his wife he is survived by one sister, June Franchock of Clearfield, PA.

There will be no viewing or funeral service.

Private Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Honor Guard.  Burial will be at the American Legion Cemetery in Brisbin, PA.
