Doretta K. Garvey
Doretta K. Garvey, 68 of Osceola Mills, PA died on Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.
Born on January 25, 1954, in Philipsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Richard E. Crain, Sr. & Sarah H. (Price) Crain. She Married George E. Garvey on December 4, 1976, in Osceola Mills, PA; he survives at home.
She was a member of the C&MA Church Coal Run, the Ladies Auxiliary L.O.O.Moose #154 Osceola Mills, PA and the Antique Auto Club of America.
Doretta was retired from Penn State University as a Staff Assistant. She was a 1971 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School and earned an associate degree from Penn State University.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Lynn A. Garvey & her husband Wayne Heverly of Philipsburg, PA; a son Scott C. Garvey of Osceola Mills, PA; two sisters, Sally A. Levonick of Osceola Mills, PA and Lesa F. Gray and her husband Thomas of Osceola Mills, PA; two brothers, Richard E. Crain, Jr. & his wife Barbara of Morrisdale, PA and Brady L. Crain & his companion Robin Winslow of Osceola Mills, PA; and two grandchildren, John William Gonzalez, III and Lydia Grace Gonzalez both of Philipsburg, PA .
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Heath Funeral Home & Cremations Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA, with Rev. James Evilsizor officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 2nd from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at the funeral home.
