I am deeply sorry about the passing of my Aunt Joann Rodkey. When I was a young girl I would go to Osceola Mills and spend several weeks during the summer with her and Minnie. The story is. The day my mother had me Joann came home from school for her lunch and was amazed to see a baby in the house. Joann asked my mother what the baby’s name was and my Mother replied
she did not know yet. Joann suggested that my mother should name the baby Joann after her . That’s how I got my name.
Aunt Joann was always good to me. She would give a me nickel or five penny’s to get a cream sickle at the store across the street from their apartment. Aunt Joann I know you are in heaven with your parents and you are surrounded by your sister’s and brothers and in the presence of our Loving Savior. You are no longer alone. May You rest in peace.
