I can’t say I aways had the best relationship with Mark. He was just as stubborn as me so when we first met it was like putting two magnets up against each other with the same polarity at times. Eventually though we came to respect each other which evolved into a good friendship. I always remember him talking all the time about Joscelyn, his time in the navy, and how much he enjoyed upstate NY and western PA, especially when viewed from behind the handlebars of his motorcycle. While he tended to be somewhat quiet in meetings or social situations, I always loved his uproarious laugh that seemed to well up from the depth of his soul and usually got or kept the laughter going. My condolences to all his family, friends and coworkers. I imagine he is on a lovely backwoods ride that is always sunny, doesn’t have traffic, and never runs out of gas. R(ide).I.P Mark.

To Mark’s family and friends, I send you my heartfelt and deepest sympathies on the loss of your brother, father, grandfather and friend. I have worked with Mark at FedEx Office since his hiring. When I heard the news it took my breath away. I have always had the deepest respect for Mark. I knew him as a kindhearted man with one of the best senses of humor. I can still hear his laugh. We had a special connection because my late husband was a Marine in Desert Storm and the Gulf War. I believe my fondest memory will always be his ability to make the Scooby Do laugh. This world is lesser for having lost such a wonderful man. You all have my most deepest sympathies. May Mark rest in peace on eternal calm blue waters and may you all find comfort.

I had the distinct pleasure of serving onboard the USS Shasta with Mark during Desert Storm. As my LPO he was fearless in standing up for the men under his direct supervision and he taught me lessons that I still use till this very day. He was a great mentor and an even greater friend. RIP Shipmate.

To Mark’s family: You have lost a son, a brother, a father, grandfather and I am truly saddened by your loss and by the loss of a true friend. Mark was a person who you respected because he earned it. He was someone who had integrity, was hard working, who truly cared about his associates, his friends, and most of all his family: Especially his daughter Joselin and later his grand daughters. He knew what loyalty was truly about. Mark and I go back to our days at CompUSA and later at FedEx Kinko’s. We have shared a lot of great times, memories, and challenges together. Mark work for me in a number of position and capacities throughout the years and I can tell you he was always very passionate in everything he did and was not afraid to stand up for what was right and what he believed in. He always spoke his mind and you respected him for that. He reintroduced me to riding and I enjoyed the few rides we had together before he moved to College Park. My kids remember him as the Gentle Giant and the guy with the loud Harley. Mark, as you ride that Harley off into sun set know you were truly loved by your family and respected by many more. Also know this friend will truly miss you and all the times we shared over the years. See you down the road……..
