Mick Patkalitsky
Ever the gentleman you were Eric. There werel few people who I respected as much and who stood for all the good life has to offer. You were a man of integrity. I always knew where you stood. Your morals, your kindness and knowing you could be trusted to have my back at all times meant so much to me. I learned from you as a friend and as a mentor. Your gift to the youth of the area will never be matched as your leadership was a consistent model for all to follow. You talked the talk and walked the walk – something we all believe we are capable of doing, but seldom have the courage to do so.
I only wish I had known earlier so I could pay my respects in person. Mrs. Hinchliffe, Joyce, Rita and Mark – I am so very sorry for your loss and so happy Eric was able to live life on his own terms and lived to enjoy his grandchildren.
May God bless you all. Take care. Mick Patkalitsky

The Hinchliffe Family,
So sorry for your loss. We all have many memories of Mr. Hinchliffe, as we knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Our deepest sympathy.
Betty Jane Taszreak-Davies
My sincere sympathy to the Hinchliffe family. I’d dare say that I was one of Mr. Hinchliffe’s first elementary students when he started his teaching career at the Morann Grade School in the early 50’s. I will always remember when we were in seventh & eight grades we had a rifle club This is something that would never happen today. May you rest in peace.

My sympathy to the Hinchcliffe family for their loss of Mr. Hinchcliffe. Mr. Hinchcliffe was my sixth grade elementary school teacher in 1971. In 1980, he became my boss at the new elementary school. Mr. Hinchcliffe was a kind and caring man and I extend many prayers to his loving family.

Mark,
Sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is a bitter pill to swallow. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you get through. I’m at a loss for other words, but you know how I feel.

Mark and family,
I know what losing a father is like and I want to offer my sincerest sympathies for the rough time you will be going through. Keep your family close for comfort and, of course, your friends will be behind you all the way.

Our deepest sympathy to your family.
Eric and I had many good harley rides before his illness took over his life.
Enjoyed knowing him as an educator and friend.

To the family of Mr. Hinchliffe. I was a student of Eric’s while at the Madera Elementary School. Our equal appreciation of the outdoors and discussions about hunting and wildlife set the stage for a friendship that started for me as his student of his. Later, I also had friendships with Mark and Rita which I hope to last the rest of my life even though we may not see eachother as much as we had earlier in our lives. Our children and Mark and Rita’s children being involved in different activities together fostered that friendship. Rita’s brother Mark and I have known eachother longer and had enjoyed time together having the same kinds of conversations that all friends have with similar interests, hunting, wrestling, family and our kids. I worked with Mark for a number of years, we both went to Penn State, we wrestled for Mo Valley while in high school and finally we worked together until Mark’s retirement. I consider myself very blessed to have known the Hinchcliff Family during most of my life and I have many cherished memories as a result. Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss.
