Dorothy A. Frantz
Dorothy A. Frantz, 100, of Philipsburg, PA and formerly of Osceola Mills, PA, died Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Windy Hill Village P.S.L. in Philpsburg, PA.
Born on November 14, 1916 in Sandy Ridge, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Mitchell & Dora Rella (Flick) Bratton. She married Clyde L. Frantz on April 19, 1936 in Osceola Mills, PA: he preceded her in death on April 3, 2009.
Mrs. Frantz was a member of the South Philipsburg C & M A Church and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by: one son, Charles Frederick Frantz, three sisters, and six brothers.
She is survived by: four daughters, Joan Droll & her husband Rev. Raymond Droll of Philipsburg, PA, Barbara Janzen & her husband Fred of Germantown, WI, Marlene Waldenmaier of Leesburg, VA and Pamela Kephart & her husband Garry of Osceola Mills, PA; one son, Clyde L. Frantz, Jr. & his wife Maureen of Fayetteville, GA; and one sister, Pauline Kizer of West Decatur, PA.
She is also survived by: fifteen grandchildren, Rev. Dr. Mark Droll, Teresa Kibe, David Droll, Dr. Fredric Janzen, Michael Janzen, Jennifer Janzen, Clyde L. Frantz III, Jeannette Farley, Paul Frantz, Alex Frantz, Mary Unruh, Stacey Haas, Rev. Matthew Kephart, Dr. Eric Kephart and Dr. Curtis Kephart; thirty great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the South Philipsburg C & M A Church, PA; with Rev. Scott Hartsock, Rev. Dr. Mark Droll and Rev. Matthew Kephart officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, PA and on Saturday at the South Philipsburg C & M A Church from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time.
