David P. Ecklund
David P. Ecklund, 62 of Irvona, PA died on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at his home.
Born on July 22, 1960, in Philipsburg, PA, he is the son of Lawrence & Jean (Logue) Ecklund both of Belleville, PA. He married Deborah M. Buckwalter on June 7, 1980 in Houtzdale, PA, she survives at home.
David was the Owner-operator of Ecklund Coal Co. of Clearfield County and a member of UMWA. He was a 1978 graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Sue Taylor & her husband Julian of Philipsburg, PA; two sons, David Alan Ecklund & his wife Jill of Philipsburg, PA and Jonathan Carl Ecklund & his wife Dana of Houtzdale, PA; three sisters, Suzanne Ecklund of Atlanta, GA, Judy Ecklund of Morganton, NC; and Lana (Ecklund) Weld of Lewistown, PA; a brother, Mark Ecklund & his wife Natasha of Irvona, PA; and six grandchildren, Logan, Annabelle, Finley, Wyatt, Josephine & Tallon.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA, with Rev. Robert Ford officiating.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
